Axyl Browser

WTF?

but why? why are you making another browser? In short, we are not. We are taking a browser that already is, and turning it into what we want to see. Thats the long and the short of Axyl Browser.

The Details

one of the things that we had to think about when we were mapping out the core project, the Operating System, is it’s security posture. One of the things that a lot of people do not understand about operating systems is that they are often heavily dependant on something called a webview. Most people have heard of it, though they do not really know what all depends on it. An example would be to disable the webview app on your phone then attempt to open discord, or to open a news artical in an app like google news or ground news. This will show you what all depends on webview on mobile. On desktop, well if you monitor processes what a lot of apps use for webview is things like the chromium native engine or the electron framework. Both of these using the chromium engine to provide the core webview features and funtionality while also providing an abstract way to interact with the core operating system(s) in a sort of agnostic fashion.

What we realized when we were looking at this is that there really is not a good solution at this time for the things that we wanted that is not super hacky and makes no sense to be used in production over a longer period of time. We then realized that we would have to make our own. That is what inspired the idea of making Axyl Browser. and in the fashion of some of the other things that we are working on it will be completely stripped down to it’s core functionality, optimized and secured to ensure that it does what we want it to do, modernized, then we will package it as that with SDKs that enable it to be both used, and easily built apon creating a way for people to easily customize their browser without the hassle that we currently see in the browser market.

one of the other things that we want to do in Axyl Browser is adhear very strictly to the browser standards that we find and pave the way for some of our own. Things like privacy preserving alternatives to cookies have been discussed, though that is usually as far as they get. We do not even plan on discussing them, we will hope straight into developing them and seeing how they do - as we feel that a core part of this browser will be the privacy that it offers without the users having to fight for it.

if you want to read more nerdy details we encorage you to keep an eye out in the blog section where we will be sure to post updates about the work that we are doing on bringing the image layed out here of Axyl Browser to life.

The Features

The Future

in the future of the internet, we know that there will be AI, as much as it is gross to us that the AI culture works hand in hand with the instant gratification culture that is preverting humanity, we cannot escape the inevitable fact that it is a part of the future of our world. We are building parts of Axyl Browser with this in mind, so that it is not something that will create issues in the future. We are also working on developing security within Axyl Browswer that will help protect users from AI driven fraud and scams, as we know they will continue to rise with the rise of AI, as has any other APT.

There are other things that we are planning - such as wireguard, socks5, and other vpn/proxy solutions being built into the browser and related framework natively, since we believe that everyone has the right to a free and uncensored internet, and will do our best to help provide that to people in parts of the world where their regional leadership does not agree with that idea.
